T.G.I.F. So stop whining and start wine-ing! Whether you’re a connossieur of red wine or white wine, getting the weekend started with a glass of wine at your local wine bar is a great way to decompress from a long and stressful week.
Now just imagine that the wine-fest could start right in the comfort of your own home. And I’m not just talking about a wine fridge; I’m thinking a full blown wine closet or wine wall to feature your mounting collection. Of course taking on this endeavor means that you are willing to give up some valuable square footage in your home.
You will have to work closely with your interior designer and contractor to ensure that the conditions in your space are prime for storing wine. For instance, both red wine and white wine should be stored at approximately 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, be mindful that wine can age prematurely if exposed to light, so get lights for purposes of going into the room, but don’t invest a ton of money into lighting. In addition, the ideal humidity for wine is anywhere from 60-70% so verify that all those standards have been met in that room.
Now for the pretty stuff. Here are some wine spaces that will have to running to a vineyard to enhance your collection. These spaces will make your house the house to be at for sure.
