This is the rundown of the week. I will answer some questions emailed to me over the last few weeks. Then deliver Google Marketing tips for the design world. Isn’t it time marketing was geared toward the design industry?
What is your favorite new collection?
I love Nate Berkus’s new infant collection for Target. I love that he created such and inspired collection influenced by his own daughter Poppy. The collection is beautiful and from a licensing standpoint perfect! The collection features wall decor, night-lights, crib sheets, rattles, one piece sets and furniture, carried out in geometric patterns, metallic and muted color ways.
How do you get into the licensing business?
I wrote a blog on Friday going over some of the things that should be on your radar before trying to license your design. The main point is that you should leverage your connections and try and devote some time to plant and grow those connections every week.
How do you spend your weekend?
I normally spend my weekends with my family unplugged to energize for the next week. Unless UCLA is playing on TV it is a pretty relaxed weekend.
What event are you looking at this week?
The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. is now accepting nominations for the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame in 2017. The deadline for nominations is February 1, 2017. If you think your designs should be included you should get on this right away. The clock is ticking.
What is a good way to get seen on Google?
