All the funds raised through the Decorator Showcase go directly to support the San Francisco University High School Financial Aid Program.
About the 2018 house
The 41st San Francisco Decorator Showcase is delighted to announce the selection of the 2018 Showcase house at 465 Marina Boulevard in the heart of San Francisco’s Marina District, marking the first time in Showcase history that the event will be held in the historic neighborhood. Located across the street from the vibrant Marina Green and San Francisco Bay, on one of the most coveted blocks of Marina Boulevard, this sophisticated three-level home built in 1930, will be transformed by Northern California’s top interior and landscape designers into the West Coast’s premier showcase event.
The 2018 Showcase house boasts six bedrooms, four and one-half baths, a sunken living room, formal dining room and large picture windows with spectacular views of the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Marina Green. The gourmet kitchen opens to a spacious family room, which overlooks the tranquil garden. A light-filled center atrium is perfect for casual dining and entertaining. The two home offices/dens, guest suite, and laundry room complete the beautiful San Francisco property.
The story of the San Francisco Decorator Showcase began in 1977, when Nan Rosenblatt, a former San Francisco University High School parent and an accomplished interior designer, and Philip Fernandez, the first president of the school’s Parents Association, conceived the first Showcase to raise funds for University’s financial aid program. In its first year, the Showcase netted $26,000, and today this prestigious event raises over $500,000 annually.
Showcase has taken place at some of the most prestigious addresses in some of the most breathtaking neighborhoods of San Francisco.
