Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH is the general contractor of the Politeama in Tolentino, a new cultural space in the city that was officially inaugurated on 18th April thanks to Franco Moschini, chairman of the Moschini Foundation that funded the theatre’s entire restoration.
The architectural design was entrusted to Michele de Lucchi and focused on refurbishing the historic Cinema Teatro Piceno, preserving some of the elements of its past while also introducing new concepts for its rooms, proposing a unique and innovative space within the fascinating Art-Nouveau building from 1926.
Politeama’s furnishings were entrusted entirely to Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH (GTV), as a general contractor, historic Viennese company that has designed a series of custom products for the theatre.
GTV’s production is in fact based on assumptions that make it a protagonist not only in households, but in larger spaces as well; it also has a specialized division that deals with large-scale international supplies and finding solutions to meet any design needs.
GTV created the POLITEAMA armchair for the auditorium, designed specifically by Michele De Lucchi. The company’s tradition and craftsmanship are exemplary in the curved wood used to make the armrests, which trace a deep U that outlines the sides of the seat. Within the armrests, an elegant metal profile creates light and dynamic curves that give the armchair a strong aesthetic personality.
The TARGA sofa designed by GamFratesi and e RADETZKY chairs designed by Michele De Lucchi for GTV are instead the protagonist of the coffee shop.
The HOT seats were concevied for the audiovisual room: the body features extremely curved wood that creates a comfortable and welcoming seat, while the curved beechwood armrests and metal legs are designed specifically to make this chair stackable and therefore suitable for conference rooms.
