Philadelphia Flower Show
Flower Power at Its Finest
Yesterday, I stepped outside my comfort zone, and along with what felt like about 50,000 other people, went to the 2017 Philadelphia Flower Show. We battled the headstrong arctic winds trying to get there from the NJ PATCO train station, but once we got in, it was all I could do to keep from giggling like a child in excitement. What an amazing spectacle! I have never been to the show before, so I didn’t know what to expect and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. As you can probably guess by the photos, this year’s theme was “Holland”.
Work..Work and More Work
The amount of work and detail into every little display blew my mind and I just couldn’t absorb it all. But then, I found the beer garden. 🙂 There were some downright crazy displays and then, some so picturesque, I could almost feel the cool winds of a Dutch breeze blowing by while sipping my beverage at an outside cafe…wait, that was the air conditioning.

5 Star Review
But seriously, words can’t describe what a great experience this was and I highly recommend to anyone in the Philadelphia area to go and take it all in. But hurry, the show closes March 19th! It really hit the spot especially with all the frigid weather we’ve had. I’d like to dive in deeper in another post soon and talk about the sustainable practices I saw in action and also, show you some wonderful things the country of The Netherlands is doing. So, check out these dreamy pictures, step into springtime in Holland and let your cares vanish for at least a little while.
Enjoy!
