Today lets talk Elementary my dear. Elementary is one of the shows I love. Elementary brings a very rough and urban design vibe. The entire cast dress very stylish and I love to see what they’re going to bring to the table. If you notice their outfits mesh perfectly with the brownstone. Except of course for Lucy Liu who sticks out like a sore thumb. I actually love that about her character.
That Brooklyn Brownstone is very fun but in such need of a makeover. Honestly I would probably gut the place and start over because the possibilities are endless. I love the idea of having a space like this to work with. The high ceiling and the exposed brick are just calling my name. There is such a rough feel about it that it really makes you feel New York.
Next lets talk furniture. The furniture is worn down but the color palette works with the tones of the room. The couch that Holmes sits on during most episodes looks very comfortable and the color is very appealing. The Burgundy against some nice wooden bookshelves is splendid on the eyes. Although my guess is it a must be very cold during winter.
One of my favorite parts of the house is the kitchen. Those white brick walls are a treat on the eyes. Sure the brick needs a little upkeep but it goes with the vibe of the house. It is amazing the stylish rough atmosphere that is being conveyed in this visual. The biggest eyesore for me is a large sink. My opinion it is a complete waste of space and annoys me on almost every episode. Also that green doesn’t do much for me as well. But then again I am not a Hollywood set designer I’m just a blogger giving an opinion.
