Working with some of the top names in hospitality design, I have learned about how colors, lighting and music can lead to that one-of-a-kind experience. Why does the color red make you turn your head? Why do the floral arrangements and music fit so perfectly? There are teams of designers that know just what colors set what moods, and the connection between smells and sounds and that perfect experience. I like to refer to this as the “Art of the Unspoken”.
One of the best teams I have ever run into is the team at the SLS in Las Vegas. From the second you book your room, until the second you tell your friends about your experience, they control the tempo. Their design team will give you that VIP feeling with every moment. Florals and lighting will dictate the pace as you check-in and continue throughout your entire stay.
Here are some more of my favorite hotels that excel at the “Art of the Unspoken”.
Appreciate a lackadaisical walk around the private garden, or enjoy the clearing display from the patio, complete with sun loungers and an eating zone. The Ravello gives you an experience that is 100% pure elegance.
Calistoga Ranch is an extravagant Napa Valley resort in California’s Wine Country that mixes indoor/outside living with its regular habitat. This gives you the feeling of being in the wine country, but also in the most isolated and luxurious setting.
The Egerton is situated on the doorstep of major attractions and really gives you that feeling of old luxurious London. This luxury boutique hotel was built in 1843 and is situated in one of the most exclusive areas of London. Not only do they deliver a 5 star experience but also allow you to peak into what old school England luxury is all about.
