Darcy Tsung Design home office renovation.
Recently I photographed a small home office renovation for Darcy Tsung of Darcy Tsung Design in San Francisco, CA.
The space is rather small which made it perfect for a home office, but it lacked personality.
Darcy’s challenge was to create a pleasing space that served multiple functions while complimenting the personality of the homeowner.
In Darcy’s own words.
The goal of this remodel was to add functionality with space saving concepts, while also updating the finishes, colors, and materials.
Based on the room size, position of closets and windows, we designed the space with custom pieces; a sleeper sofa, window treatments, a desk, built-in shelving with a bench seat, a mirror, file and desk storage, pillows, and a library ladder.
We painted the room and added wall lights on the bookcases, a side table, an area rug, and cabinet hardware.
The only items we kept were the original hardwood floors, recessed lights and the ceiling fan.
Not only did Darcy give the room just the right amount of flash for the home owner, she did a great job of space planning on this project.
The touch that really stands out for me the the mirror in the corner adding depth and interest to an otherwise blank space.
