I am a huge candle lover, like really huge. Unfortunately, I’m also highly allergic to burning traditional wax candles. So anytime I find a high quality soy candle, I feel like a little girl again on Christmas morning.
At first, it was the clean packaging that caught my eye when I found Hamilton Wax Company on Instagram, but when I smelled the unique fragrances in Brittney’s line, I knew these candles would become a part of our curated collection on Tastefully Curated.
The Hamilton Wax Company is located in the heart of Amish Country in Lancaster, PA. Known for its working Amish farms nestled in among the rolling, green hills outside of Philadelphia, Lancaster is a charming place to visit. Also a shoppers paradise, the outlet mall full of designer boutiques sits close to some beautiful antique shops where one could find just about anything.
Brittney Hippensteel makes these richly scented candles by hand.
“Hamilton Wax Co. is a handmade candle company based in Hamilton Park, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We hand pour richly scented, soy wax candles in small batches.
All candles are proudly vegan and phthalate free. This small business is run out of an 850 sq. ft. home that was built in the 30’s for the Hamilton Watch Factory workers and their families. The owner’s love for beautiful home goods, and simple design is where this dream began. “
Of my newfound partnership with Hamilton Wax Co., I like to say, “They had me at Fresh Basil.” Her scents are fresh and clean smelling, light, yet full of fragrance.
The Lavender and Vanilla has rapidly become my go-to for stress relief after a long day and the Fig and Rhubarb sits nicely alongside my writing desk, creating an atmosphere of pure, natural ambience.
Our launch for Tastefully Curated is coming up in November and we’re honored to have Hamilton Wax Co. joining us alongside other some other amazing artists and designers!
We heartily welcome you, Brittney, to the Tastefully Inspired/Tastefully Curated family and can’t wait to see what candle magic you have in store for us!
