These days, when someone tells me something that sounds too good to be true, I tend to be skeptical. I mean, aren’t we used to being barraged by ads that pop up or show up everywhere? Claims from creams that dissolve wrinkles, pills that melt away fat, paint that practically applies itself on your walls and, well, you get the gist and it’s just not true.
So, when I heard about this magic frame that transforms your mirror with no real work involved, I was once again, skeptical. However, I am beyond pleased to say, it really was easy to put together and I got the look I was going for without a huge, labor-intensive process!
This may look like a lot of steps, but the directions from the Frame My Mirror website as seen below are very thorough to help you through the process as simply and easily as possible.
Lay your frame face down on a soft surface to protect the finish (either carpet or a bed of towels will work). To keep everything organized, make sure that the frame is correctly arranged with pieces of the same length lying opposite each other, just as it will appear on the wall.
Working one corner at a time, it’s time to start assembling! Apply the Frame My Mirror glue to one of the two corner pieces. Using your hand, insert an assembly wedge into the proper route on both of the corner pieces.
Join the two corners together while making sure to hold the frame pieces level. If you need some extra help, gently tap the pieces together using your hammer so each wedge sits flush with the frame. When you’re done with your corner, use a damp cloth to clean up any excess glue that may have squeezed out. Repeat the process for the remaining three corners and allow your newly assembled frame to rest for at least 3 hours before moving into installation.
Before installing your frame you’ll want to dry fit it against the mirror to make sure everything looks just right. Double check the placement and ensure that no obstacle, such as light fixtures, medicine cabinets, or towel bars, will interfere with installation. Once you’ve ensured the placement, take the frame down and set it aside.
Remove the protective backing from the double-sided tape on the back of the frame.
Align your Add A Frame ® and gently press it onto the mirror. If the fit and position look good, apply pressure to the frame to secure it in place.
Take a step back and enjoy your new frame.
I am beyond pleased with how this turned out! Not only does it add a touch of class, but it was an easy way to give this bathroom a makeover without breaking the bank. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a quick and easy project for a client bathroom, or your own, like I did!
