If you’re a small business owner, you may not be big enough to hire an assistant yet, so you are probably used to getting your brains scrambled while spending countless hours searching for answers online to your issues. But it’s frustrating, right? I am a researcher at heart and love to research things, sometimes to death. So trust me, if I don’t have an answer for you as a consultant and expert in my field, I will find it for you…sometimes at any cost!
Today I want to share some of my unbiased, favorite places online to find answers to your business questions. Whether it’s, “What business structure is best for me”, or “How do I start a blog”, I can recommend the following places to go to get your questions answered.
- Lately, one of my obsessions has been social media marketing and the most valuable place I’ve found so far is Social Media Examiner – I have been known to spend hours on this site. Their research is constantly updated and they have the most extensive library of topics that I’ve found. From blogging, to growing your Instagram account, they have it all.
- I have also found the score.org website and free mentoring extremely valuable over the years. I’ve had success speaking with experts in several industries from learning about health inspections in a commercial kitchen, to how to collect retail taxes in Colorado, so check out the free mentorship program and you’ll get connected with someone who specializes in what you’re looking to do.
- Ok, this one is just for fun because we all need a little bit of ass-kicking motivation some days. Take a look at Casey Neistat’s YouTube Channel. In his non-traditional, but highly motivating way, he motivates us from exotic locations or surfing the sidewalks of New York on his skateboard…either way, put his video, “Do What You Can’t” on your must watch list asap. It may not give you the answer to whether or not to form an LLC, but it will sure light the fire under your feet and get you back to remembering why you’re doing what you’re doing.
So, ladies and gents, I hope this two-day study has been helpful to you and we here at Tastefully Inspired wish you all the best with your design business endeavors!
Stay tuned for more design inspiration and as always, we’re here to help with your marketing questions and needs!
