On Wednesday I had the pleasure on interviewing the talented Rajni Alexa at Rajni Alex Design. She is such a talent the video revealed some great design tips I had never heard of before.
Rajni Alex is the founder and principal of Rajni Alex Interior Design. Rajni draws her inspiration from a myriad of cultural influences that throughout her life have made a deep impression on her aesthetic. After six years of working at a successful New York City design firm, where she worked on several high-end residential projects, she decided to take the plunge and launch her own Interior Design business that reflects both her eclectic style and her passion for home décor. Her firm is comprised of an elite team of designers that Rajni guides to execute her vision.
From timeless pieces to sleek Chinoiserie and French influences, her design style embodies a harmonious palette that does not shy away from color, sculptural forms, and intricate patterns and details. Her design philosophy is rooted in putting the client first and carefully working within their requirements. “The spaces I create should be shaped and influenced by my design ethos, but ultimately it is a reflection of my clients’ personality and lifestyle”. She has an unfailing passion for getting every detail just right. Being a mother of two, Rajni understands the need to combine form and functionality and firmly believes that good design can be both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The end result is an effortless blend of ‘old and new’.
Rajni’s penchant for all things beautiful, whether it be interiors, fashion, or lifestyle led to the creation of Modern Glamor. Rajni’s style and designs can be summed up simply in Mae West’s words—
“Too much of a good thing can be wonderful.”
